vintage findings, board, tissue paper, feathers, vintage velvet ribbon, vintage magazine illustration
I hope your days are what you wish them to be. Holidays or sleeping days or just ordinary good days. Today is the day we celebrate Christmas, so here ends this year's calendar. If you stop by tomorrow you will find photos of all the matchboxes made this December.

vintage encyclopaedia anatomy illustrations, hand dyed Japanese paper, cardboard, wood
I've always liked the gruesome pages of my old encyclopaedias the best. Don't know why.
Here I am hoping it won't be bone breaking slippery outside. I'm picking up my mom from the train soon and I so look forward to spending some girl time with her today and I know we both prefer not to break any bones.

vintage photo slides, board, paper, selfmade paper
In this matchbox there are two old (very blue) slides of the same location on top of each other with a gap between them so that the scene changes and becomes oddly three dimensional when you change the angle you're viewing it from. This is one of those boxes that are beautiful but impossible to photograph well. I knew that from the start but couldn't stop and change my plan.

vintage watch parts, paper, hand dyed Japanese paper, vintage silk threads
So, yet again I put a bird on it. I can't help myself when I find those little birdy heads in my box of watch junk. V is on his way to Rome, a business trip, a biennale. I'm home, waiting for the sound of rain and the sound of snow melting to stop. I am sleeping all wrong again. Not my usual wrong, but even more wrong.
